Using S-Mail via any email software
- Can I use email software like Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, TheBat!, etc. with S-Mail?
- How can I setup my Outlook, Eudora, etc. to work in S-Mail ?
- How can I hide my PC's IP-address when using S-Mail via email software such as Outlook, Eudora, etc.?
- I cannot send mail: the 25th port for SMTP server is busy or closed by a network administrator.
What should I do to work in S-Mail via email software such as Outlook, Eudora, etc.?
- I cannot receive mail: the 110th port for POP3 server is busy or closed by a network administrator.

S-Mail® supports all email software. To start working with S-Mail via your email
client you need to install S-Mail Agent.
It can be used FREE for a 30 day trial period. After the trial period, S-Mail Agent will be available to
subscribers of Standard and Premium plans only.

- How can I setup my Outlook, Eudora, etc. to work in S-Mail ?
You can work with S-Mail via any email program, but only by using our compact, secure proxy software (30 days free trial).
Please do the following:
1. Sign up and get your username@s-mail.com account FREE.
2. Download and install the S-Mail Agent utility.
3. Run S-Mail Agent.
In its menu, please select Options - Configure client - Next.
You will proceed to a list of email clients.
If you cannot find your favourite one on it, push the "Other email client" button and follow the instructions.
If your email client is on the list, select it and press Next. Type in your email address
like name@s-mail.com as follows: the first part of your email address (name) to the
Login field, and the second part of your email address (s-mail.com) to the field after the
"@" sign.
You can also check "Leave messages on server", if you want your messages to be saved on our server as well.
Press Next.
4. Now you are ready to work with our secure email system using your favourite email software. Enjoy S-Mail!

- How can I hide my PC's IP-address when using S-Mail via email software such as Outlook, Eudora, etc.?
If you do not want your recipients to know your PC's IP-address, open S-Mail Agent, choose
Options - Settings - Advanced - Servers, and set SMTP server port to 1025.

- Can I export my S-Mail address book to my favourite email software's address book?
Yes. Go to "Options" then to "Other options". Press the "Address book export" button. All entries in your address book will be saved in a .LDF file. After that, run your email program and import entries from that file into your email software's address book.

- Can I use a firewall simultaneously with S-Mail when working via Outlook, Eudora, etc?
Yes. You just need to adjust your firewall software.
Please allow connections from the "localhost" to the "localhost" for all ports.
You should also make sure that outgoing connections are allowed for standard ports: SMTP - 25, POP3 - 110, HTTP - 80, HTTPS - 443.
